We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Manufacturing Process Engineer to support project launches and optimize production processes within a quick-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to translate engineering designs into efficient shop floor operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support new project launches through the implementation and development of manufacturing processes
Analyze customer part drawings and design preliminary manufacturing processes that meet technical requirements
Translate engineering requirements into clear, executable instructions for the shop floor
Collaborating with the Plant Manager and liaising with vendors to determine part specifications and establish appropriate equipment requirements
Prepare nesting layouts for gas cutting machines using FastNest, ensuring optimal material utilization
Maintain and track departmental documentation, including:
Material Certificates
Inspection report documents
Ensure accurate and efficient material planning for ongoing and upcoming projects
Qualifications
Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks (required)
Experience in fabrication, metal processing, or heavy manufacturing environments preferred
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as cutting, welding, and machining
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and project tracking
Ability to work independently and learn with minimal supervision
Ability to work collaboratively with production teams, management, and external vendors
Preferred Skills
Experience with nesting software
Knowledge of quality documentation and inspection processes
Must be able to work independently, be organized and efficient
Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset
