Shift Lead / Team Supervisor – Automotive Quality

Location: Simcoe, ON, with travel to Brantford and Woodstock

Pay: $20.20/hr.

Job Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Perm

Shifts: Afternoon (Mon–Fri, 4:00 PM–1:00 AM) or Night (Sun–Thu)

We are hiring an experienced Shift Lead / Team Supervisor to manage a team of quality inspectors in an automotive manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on working lead role for someone who can own a shift, support daily operations, and guide a team of 15–20 junior employees.

The base location is Simcoe, ON, with coverage across Simcoe, Brantford, and Woodstock. Applicants must be comfortable driving between local sites and have a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities:

- Lead, coach, and support 15–20 junior team members.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor team performance.
- Manage attendance, huddles, and shift coordination.
- Support automotive quality inspection and issue resolution.
- Train new hires on procedures, safety, and documentation.
- Act as the main contact for client communication and quality concerns.
- Complete shift reports, timekeeping updates, and performance follow-up.




- Support heavy lifting and hands-on floor work when required.

Requirements:

- 1–2 years of supervisory, lead hand, or team lead experience.
- Background in manufacturing, automotive, supply chain, or logistics.
- Quality inspection experience in a production environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
- Comfortable driving between Simcoe, Brantford, and Woodstock.
- Able to work afternoon or night shifts.
- Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
