Accountant

Title: Accountant
Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Benefits
Status: Permanent, Full time
Location: Ville St-Laurent, QC

Core Responsibilities:
Full Cycle Accounting: Lead all monthly and yearend closing activities; maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate account reconciliation.
Banking: Oversee all banking activities, including regular reconciliations and ongoing cashflow monitoring.
Performance Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and conduct variance analyses to support informed operational decisions.
Tax Administration: Prepare and file all GST/QST returns in a timely and compliant manner.
Audit Readiness: Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors (BDO).

Prepare complete yearend audit files and support the annual review to ensure a smooth fiscal year close.
Government Reporting: Oversee the submission of all required regulatory filings, including Records of Employment (ROE).
Payroll Operations: Manage weekly payroll (ADP) with accuracy and confidentiality.
Benefits & Records:



Administer company health insurance plans and maintain secure, up to date employee files.
Employee Support: Act as the main point of contact for payroll and benefits inquiries,
contributing to the positive employee experience.

Requirements & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 5 years minimum of experience in an accounting role within a private enterprise.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with accounting software and Excel; solid understanding of Quebec tax and payroll regulations.

Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
Attributes: Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work independently while contributing to a small, team-oriented team.
