Day in the Life
Get ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into the world of construction as a labourer and join the team at our Beaverbank asphalt plant.
Day-to-day activities would include helping with maintenance at the asphalt plant, focusing on housekeeping at and around the plant, unloading AC deliveries and helping organize haul trucks, all while learning the ins and outs of how asphalt is made.
Whether it's hauling materials, wielding power tools like a pro, or mastering the art of equipment, every day brings a new adventure.
Safety will always be your top priority, including:
- Taking part in required safety training
- Maintaining and participating in daily safety tasks
- Wearing PPE and following all safety protocols
- Staying alert to potential hazards and contributing to a strong safety culture
This is seasonal work and typically begins from the end of April and goes until the middle of December.
Location: Beaverbank, NS
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- 1–2 years of experience in construction, site maintenance, or general labor tasks
- Own transportation to and from work (located at 3660 Beaver Bank Rd)
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (50 lbs or more)
