About Techsploration
Established in 1998, Techsploration is an award-winning, Nova Scotia-based not-for-profit organization. We deliver hands-on, mentor-led programming to young women and gender-diverse youth in Grades 9 through 12. Our mission is to increase the number of women+ working in science, engineering, trades, and technology-related occupations.
Position Summary
Techsploration is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented junior Digital Transformation Specialist to join our team. As our organization continues to grow and impact more youth across Nova Scotia and beyond, we need to ensure our internal processes are efficient, scalable, and technologically sound.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in evolving our operational workflows. You will be responsible for mapping current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing software and technical solutions that streamline our day-to-day activities. You will work closely with our team to transition manual tasks into automated workflows, primarily utilizing platforms such as Airtable, Monday.com, and other relevant integration tools.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Process Mapping & Optimization: Analyze and document current organizational workflows, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for digital enhancement.
- Data Management & Entry: Oversee data migration and ensure accurate data entry across new and existing platforms. Maintain high standards of data integrity and security.
- Software Integration & Implementation: Assist in the setup, configuration, and integration of core operational software, specifically focusing on Airtable and Monday.com. Explore and recommend additional tools as needed.
- Workflow Automation: Design and implement automated processes to reduce manual administrative tasks,
allowing our team to focus more on program delivery and impact.
- Training & Support: Provide technical support and training to staff members on current software and updated processes, ensuring smooth adoption across the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and proactively suggest further digital transformation initiatives.
- General operational, administrative, and program support as needed.
Some overnight, in-province travel may be required. All pre-approved travel-related expenses will be reimbursed.
Required Competencies and Qualifications
- Approximately 2 years of professional experience in digital transformation, process optimization, IT support, or a related field.
- Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Must live within the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM)
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with work management and database platforms, specifically Airtable and Monday.com. Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make) is a strong asset.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to map out complex processes and translate them into efficient digital workflows.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry, migration, and system configuration.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- - Written and verbal French is considered an asset, but not required, as this role involves communication with our digital transformation partner based out of Montreal and Halifax.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members clearly.
