Job Description

Kardium’s mission is to deliver the best treatment for atrial fibrillation. To achieve this, we have developed The Globe® Pulsed Field System – a product with unique, customer‑valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have obtained FDA approval and are officially beginning the commercial launch of the Globe® Pulsed Field System.

In this role you will provide senior‑level strategic leadership and oversight for all Kardium manufacturing sites. You thrive in a challenging environment, driving operational excellence, maximizing efficiency and productivity while ensuring a safe working environment. As Director of Manufacturing you excel at engaging and motivating employees, building a high‑performance culture and meeting or exceeding delivery commitments to our customers.

This opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Meaningful work you will be a part of

Your core responsibilities will include:

- Direct and mentor the team of Plant or Senior Manufacturing Managers for all Kardium manufacturing sites and provide coaching to improve operational excellence
- Develop long‑range operating plans and strategies, and drive operational initiatives capable of achieving Kardium’s production growth and commercialization goals
- Build a collaborative, high‑performance culture across all sites, focusing on employee engagement and retention,



succession planning, and workforce development
- Ensure workforce training programs are standardized to deliver quality and consistency across all manufacturing operations
- Budgetary responsibility and oversight of manufacturing operations workforce
- Drive continuous improvement programs and use of methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, etc.) across all manufacturing sites to improve productivity and manufacturing stability
- Work closely with Planning, Supply Chain, Inventory, and Logistics to optimize scheduling, manufacturing efficiency and inventory levels
- Set and monitor key performance indicators (OEE, Utilization, Variance Analysis) to evaluate site performance and implement corrective actions
- Champion and drive a safety‑first culture, and ensure compliance with all local environment, health and safety regulations

What you bring to the team

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:

- Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior manufacturing or operations leadership role




- Proven experience scaling manufacturing from low to high commercial volumes
- Demonstrated success implementing continuous improvement and operational scaling strategies
- Previous experience in ISO13485 or AS9100 regulated industries strongly preferred
- Experience managing a cleanroom manufacturing environment is an asset
- Experience developing workforce training and capability programs for production teams
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and operational planning skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Adept at building strong, collaborative relationships at all levels

Compensation

Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on relevant business and candidate factors. For candidates with more or less experience, the pay range will be adjusted.

- $180,000 – $245,000 (CAD annually)

As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.
