Our Client is a boutique Personal Injury Law Firm based in Brampton. They are currently in expansion mode and are looking to add two Law clerks to their team.
Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for independently managing and carrying Accident Benefits & Tort files from file opening to closing. In your current role, you will be required to draft legal documents e.g. affidavit of documents, undertakings, motion records. You will be working directly under the supervision and direction of one of the firm's Lawyers. You will also be assisting the lawyer with the completion of Motion Records, Pre-Trial Memorandums, Case Conference Summaries, and Mediation Memorandums.
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 2 years of Personal Injury experience with an emphasis on AB & Tort.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal will be necessary to draft correspondence and legal documents, schedule meetings and communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other professionals. You must be knowledgeable with Preparing LAT Applications and Case Conference Summaries. A law Clerk diploma from a recognized institution will be an asset
