Within the Justice Department, the Youth Justice Branch is looking to fill two (2) Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Justice Program Coordinators.

Duties:
The Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Justice Program team (FASD JP) provides a range of services to youth and families affected by FASD and involved in the justice system. The coordinator participates on the multidisciplinary team that provides assessment and diagnosis to youth and young adults referred to the program. The incumbent will coordinate FASD assessments, provide training/education to youth and their communities, make recommendations to the Court, collaborate with community agencies to deliver best-practice interventions, and develop current services and programs to meet the need of diagnosed youth.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Post secondary education in Social Sciences with direct related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience administering and interpreting complex psychological, behavioural, or functional assessments.
- Knowledge of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and its impacts on individuals, families and communities.
- Experience supporting youth and families through complex assessment or diagnostic processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with youth and families, departmental staff and external agencies to build relationships, case manage and advocate for client needs.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare detailed, accurate, and clinically sound assessment reports and court documents.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with experience facilitating training with diverse audiences and building capacity in a variety of communities.

- Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Adult Abuse Registry Check

- Must have access to motor vehicle and the ability to travel
