Job Title
BRANCH SERVICES DELIVERY DRIVER
Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivering interlibrary loans, mail and block exchanges throughout the region.
- Deliver mail, interlibrary loans, and block exchanges to branches, including sorting branch to branch mail, picking up and dropping off bins at branch libraries, and unloading the delivery van at the end of each day's run.
- Assist with training staff in block exchange and delivery procedures, participate in staff training and other duties as assigned.
- Perform basic care and maintenance on delivery vehicles.
- Compile accurate statistics and reports regarding any vehicle care or emergency maintenance performed or supervised.
Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
- Completion of grade twelve (12) or GED
- Valid Saskatchewan driver's license with clean drivers abstract
- Ability to operate an extended cargo van
- Ability to sustain repetitive lifting of approximately 45 lbs/20.4 kg on a daily basis
- Knowledge of servicing/maintenance requirements of vehicles
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively, be diplomatic, and adaptable
- Ability to organize work and meet deadlines
Desirable Experience & Training
- Commercial delivery training or experience
- Knowledge of roads and highways within north central Saskatchewan
