Position: Continuous Improvement Specialist

Your Mission

The Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for identifying operational inefficiencies and leading improvement initiatives across PSD operational, administrative, and support processes. The role focuses on driving measurable performance improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

- Identify inefficiencies in operational, administrative, and support processes.
- Map and analyze workflows to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.
- Lead improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
- Coordinate project activities, facilitate collaboration between teams, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Track improvement initiatives from initiation to completion, ensuring projects remain on schedule and deliver expected outcomes.
- Maintain project documentation, follow up on action items, and monitor implementation progress.
- Measure and report the results of improvement initiatives using KPIs such as cost savings, productivity improvements, cycle time reduction,



and operational efficiency gains.
- Analyze KPIs and operational metrics to evaluate process performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify trends and recurring issues through data analysis and operational observations.
- Conduct root cause analysis using structured problem-solving tools to address underlying issues.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visual management tools to track improvement initiatives and operational performance.
- Train employees and teams on continuous improvement methodologies and tools (e.g., Lean principles, problem-solving techniques, process analysis).
- Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops, or improvement sessions focused on solving specific operational challenges.
- Promote a culture of problem solving and ownership.
- Additional tasks and duties may be required.

Your profile / Qualifications

- Three to five years of experience in either Factory Quality Assurance, Lean Manufacturing, or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering; or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering or related field.
- Lean principles (i.e. 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping)
- Green Belt certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills – bilingual is an asset




- Able to produce reports and present to all levels of the organization
- Solid communication skills and the ability to influence and engage teams at various levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent computer skills (including Microsoft Office)
- Interpersonal skills to allow for a collaborative approach to continuous improvement
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Self-motivated and goal oriented
- Willingness to travel within Canada to support other Epiroc locations as needed (Less than 30%).

Compensation

Expected compensation range: $82,540.00 - 95,000 CAD
