Analyst, Business Operations
Location: 500 Lake Shore Boulevard West, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 2V9
Why This Role Is Important
The Analyst, Business Operations will be responsible for providing day‑to‑day vendor operational support, controlling execution with oversight of outlier activity, vendor processing reconciliations, and risk management reporting of key vendors. This includes monitoring audit reports, managing control evidence, creating robust reporting of monitored activity, and managing vendor inventories. The role also plays a key part in building and maintaining strategic partnerships with internal and external partners.
What You’ll Do
- Invoice/accrual processing and financial reporting of key bank vendors
- Validate the accuracy of inventory reports
- Inventory management for all collateral housed at vendor locations, maintaining volume within tolerable levels
- Identify and investigate potential risks or variances to overall inventories, find root cause, implement mitigation tactics, and develop contingency plans
- Manage inventory re‑order and destruction
- Lead internal partner meetings regarding inventory/collateral management and draft minutes for distribution
- Provide insights and robust reporting to management highlighting issues/trends and identifying high‑risk operating deficiencies associated to inventory reconciliations
- Implement internal operational controls monthly and maintain control evidence
- Conduct daily oversight and execution of statement validation
- Perform onsite vendor validation (cards & statements) as required
- Create and maintain accurate inventory of control functions and processes
- Champion process improvement opportunities and enhancements to improve overall efficiency while minimizing financial impacts
- Develop and maintain accurate up‑to‑date process documentation
- Support vendor with day‑to‑day inquiries or issue resolution
- Make time‑sensitive decisions requiring sound and independent judgment
- Maintain operational documentation such as process documentation, monthly production forecasts, controls, statement of procedures, etc.
- Carry out audit work in compliance with timeline requirements
- Document transparent and concise results
- Provide robust reporting and analytical trends on outlier activity
- Recommend process efficiencies and improved customer experience continuously
- Provide support and assistance in resolving complex inquiries, taking full ownership to final resolution
What You Bring
- 3+ years of operational vendor experience or relevant experience in the financial sector (credit and debit/banking)
- Strong attention to detail, self‑motivated, and adaptable to change in a dynamic environment
- Analytical skills to identify gaps and deficiencies and develop solutions
- Excellent verbal, written, and reporting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster relationships internally and externally
- Experience managing multiple internal and external relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Highly organized with a focus on meeting reporting commitments
- A good team player who can also work independently in a fast‑paced environment
- Post‑secondary education
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Salary Range: $60,000.00 – $82,500.00 per year
