We are looking for an Electrical Engineer, Applications & Solutions to strengthen our technical expertise within the organization. This role is a key position within Frankensolar Americas and serves as the technical subject matter expert for solar PV systems, battery energy storage, and related renewable energy applications. The Electrical Engineer works closely with sales, operations, suppliers, and customers to deliver technically sound, efficient, and compliant energy solutions. This position combines engineering, system design, product support, and real-world application knowledge in a dynamic and fast-growing solar environment. Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise & Application Support

Act as the technical subject matter expert for solar PV systems, battery energy storage systems, and related renewable energy products Provide advanced technical support to internal sales teams, installers, and customers Support system troubleshooting, product selection, and application optimization Deliver technical training and guidance as required Design and review grid-tied, hybrid, and off‑grid solar and battery storage systems Support inverter configuration, derating, parameterization, and performance optimisation Assist with wire sizing, protection concepts, and SCADA or control cabinet solutions Set up and support test systems, lab testing, and product validation Product & Market Support

Support commercial battery storage initiatives and related product management activities Conduct market and application analyses (e.g. net metering, time‑of‑use rates, regulatory considerations) Provide technical input to procurement, supplier selection, and product development Liaise with manufacturers and industry partners on technical specifications and best practices Project & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Support technical aspects of customer projects and internal initiatives Collaborate with sales, operations, logistics, and management teams Contribute to the development of internal standards, processes,



and best practices Perform other duties as assigned by management Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the solar or renewable energy industry Strong technical knowledge of: Battery energy storage systems (BESS) Inverters and balance‑of‑system components Experience with off‑grid and hybrid systems is a strong asset Working knowledge of Canadian electrical codes, standards, and permitting processes Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills Technical leadership and ownership Clear communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset High attention to detail and quality Full‑time, in‑office position based in Brampton, Ontario Flexible start and end times within standard business hours Collaborative office environment with access to testing and technical resources Occasional travel within Canada as required for tradeshows, customer support, projects, or industry activities Why Join Us?
