Overview This position combines financial resources (Balance Sheet, RWA, Leverage, and Capital) subject matter expertise with data reporting capabilities. The manager will support business stakeholders in understanding financial resource reporting while pursuing data enhancements to streamline processes and improve calculation efficacy across model reporting.
What you will do
Assist in the enhancement of data to support RWA and Leverage calculation and reporting, and support the implementation of an enhanced Weekly RWA / Leverage reporting model and process, increasing operational efficiency and introducing new and independent sources of information.
Support the development of a center of expertise related to Balance Sheet, RWA, Leverage, and Capital to advise, educate, and inform a wide audience of stakeholders, with the overarching goal of initiating and implementing financial resource optimization efforts to maximize utilization and returns.
Advise business stakeholders on areas of potential risk and capital optimization, collaborating with key stakeholders to implement optimization efforts.
Enhance in‑depth wholesale business financial resources analytics to support emerging regulatory environments and strategic business growth.
Assist in managing the planning, forecasting, and strategic business reviews of CM balance sheet, RWA, and leverage exposure in collaboration with BU advisors and report on overall monthly, quarterly, and annual results.
Assist in the management and development of risk and return ratios under key financial resource constraints; identify red flags and implement processes to ensure impacts and mitigating actions are communicated to CM OC for timely decisions.
Support the development and maintenance of analytical models and drivers to proactively identify growth impacts on the balance sheet, clearly identifying incremental value of key balance sheet lines and the potential impact on RWA / leverage exposure growth.
Collaborate with Corporate Treasury, Wholesale Finance Control Team, and BU advisors to understand, analyze, and report on RWA and Leverage for wholesale businesses.
Participate in various projects as required and support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual head‑office and investor‑relations related materials to report on consolidated CM business results, ad‑hoc analysis, and potential impacts and sensitivities.
What you need to succeed
Accounting designation (CPA), CFA, or MBA
4+ years’ experience in a performance‑management type role in a financial institution
Proficient computer skills including Excel (Pivot Tables, slicers, VBA macros), MS Access, SQL, Python, TM1
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Organization skills and ability to multitask, attention to detail
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
Strong team ethic with proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others
Conflict resolution and escalation capability
Exposure to capital markets products
