This in-person role fosters a supportive workplace in Oshawa, Ontario. You'll guide monthly group discussions, assist members in accessing essential community resources, and arrange guest speakers to enrich conversations. Collaborating closely with the Support Group Convenor, you'll ensure meetings align with the group's mandate, prioritizing the well-being of each participant. Reporting regularly to the Support Services Specialist will keep all stakeholders informed about relevant updates.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide monthly group discussions on sensitive topics




• Assist members in accessing community resources
• Arrange guest speakers and discussion topics
• Ensure meetings comply with the group’s mandate
• Report updates to the Support Services Specialist
Requirements:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective problem-solving and leadership abilities
• Comfort discussing sensitive issues in groups
• Lived experience with brain tumours preferred
• 18+ years; background check required
