Role Description This is a full-time, in office role for an Associate Insurance Advisor located in Scarborough, ON. The Associate Insurance Advisor will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, consulting with clients to understand their insurance needs, offering tailored insurance and financial solutions, and building long-term client relationships.



The role also includes carrying out administrative tasks related to policies, processing renewals, and promoting Co‑operators' products and services to help clients achieve financial security.

Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of Insurance and Finance practices

Strong skills in Consulting and Customer Service to understand and address client needs effectively

Excellent Communication skills to engage with clients and team members professionally

Previous experience in the financial services or insurance industry is an asset

Post‑secondary education in Business, Finance, or a related field

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment

A valid provincial insurance license or the ability to obtain one is required

Physical Working Conditions This is an in‑office position in Scarborough, candidates must live in Scarborough or very close by. Our agency serves a high‑touch, local client base. Being nearby supports responsiveness, collaboration and local knowledge.

Regular office environment. May be required to work flexible hours. May require occasional travel outside the office.

Requirements

Strict confidentiality with respect to client’s financial status and other personal information.

This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment.

You may be required to have your own vehicle, valid driver’s license,



and insurance.

You will be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate. To be successful:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of hire and must be able to maintain this authorization for a minimum of 12 months. Proof of work authorization will be required prior to start date.

You remain focused and optimistic in the pursuit of a goal, despite barriers, until the objective is achieved and effectively manage your time in the quest of client satisfaction.

You leverage information about client’s needs and situations to qualify sales opportunities and exhibit strong communication skills that allow you to clearly convey messages.

You are committed to continuous improvement and building productive client relationships in order to exceed client expectations.

You are an effective team player and provide guidance to support the development of you

Qualifications and Skills OTL‑General Insurance license is required, a Life license is an asset.

Meet all provincial‑licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education to obtain and maintain all licenses.

One‑year sales and service experience or related business experience is preferred.

Knowledge of auto and property insurance products is an asset and experience with selling techniques is preferred.

Skilled in communication (verbal and written), organization, time management, client service, decision making, problem solving.

Candidate must be comfortable in a technology dependent environment including proficiency with Microsoft office.
