LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Front End Engineer with its Vancouver-based customer.

Work Location The successful candidate will be required to work 3x/week on-site at the customer headquarters in Vancouver, BC.

Key Tasks

Refactor and modernize an existing front-end codebase to improve scalability, maintainability, and separation of concerns

Design and develop a new front-end architecture aligned with modern best practices and cloud-native principles

Establish and implement front-end standards including component design, state management, routing, and data-fetching patterns

Build reusable UI components and contribute to a scalable design system and component library

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API contracts and ensure seamless frontend-backend integration

Develop and maintain automated tests (unit and end-to-end) to ensure application quality and reliability

Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance while contributing hands‑on to development efforts

Key Qualifications

Solid proficiency in TypeScript and experience designing scalable, maintainable frontend architectures

Proven experience working in complex or legacy environments, including refactoring and modernizing existing applications

Qualifications

Experience with modern state management and data‑fetching strategies (e.g.,



server‑state management, caching, API integration)

Strong understanding of component-based architecture and front-end design patterns

Experience building and maintaining design systems or reusable component libraries

Familiarity with modern CSS frameworks and responsive design principles

Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross‑functional teams

Assets

Experience with modern routing frameworks or full-stack frontend patterns (e.g., BFF architecture)

Exposure to cloud platforms and containerized environments

Interest or experience in leveraging AI tools to enhance development productivity

Salary Range: $115,000-$133,000
