Why This Role Is Significant The Senior Fraud Analyst - Authentication is a key member of the Risk Management team, responsible for overseeing and optimizing the authentication strategy across all digital channels and the call center. This role requires a strong understanding of authentication technologies, security best practices, and user experience considerations. The Authentication Strategist will analyze authentication performance, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with technology and business teams to implement effective solutions that balance security and customer convenience. We are looking for someone that is analytical, curious, and takes initiative. The ideal candidate will be someone with a background in fraud detection/analysis, is eager to learn, and can work both independently and across a team environment. What You'll Do Develop and Maintain Authentication Strategy: Create, maintain, and evolve a comprehensive authentication strategy that encompasses digital channels (web, mobile, etc.) and the call center, aligning with the organization's risk appetite and business goals. Analyze Authentication Performance: Analyze authentication data to identify fraud trends, weak points,



and areas for optimization. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of authentication strategies. Optimize Authentication Flows: Design and implement authentication flows that balance security with a seamless user experience across all channels. Evaluate Authentication Technologies: Research, evaluate, and recommend new authentication technologies and methods, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), biometrics, knowledge-based authentication (KBA), risk-based authentication (RBA), and voice biometrics. Collaborate with Technology Teams: Work closely with technology teams to implement, integrate, and maintain authentication systems, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance. Stay Current on Threats: Continuously monitor the evolving threat landscape and adapt authentication strategies to address emerging risks. Call Center Authentication Focus: Specifically develop and improve authentication procedures within the call center environment, including voice biometric solutions and other authentication methods. What You Bring Minimum 1 year of experience in authentication, identity management, cybersecurity, or fraud analysis with a focus on authentication. Post-Secondary Degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field preferred (Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Information Security). Demonstrated experience working with a programming language is preferred (SQL, Python, VS Code, Excel VBA). Attention to detail and personal accountability to ensure accuracy of produced results. Strong understanding of authentication technologies, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), biometrics, knowledge-based authentication (KBA), risk-based authentication (RBA), and emerging authentication methods.



Knowledge of digital channel security best practices and call center security protocols. Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective authentication strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with voice biometrics implementation and management. Experience in the financial services industry. Knowledge of fraud detection and prevention systems.
