Position

Mechanical Plumbing Designer – Buildings – Mechanical team, Vancouver

Responsibilities

- Design and layout plumbing systems for building projects using sound engineering judgment.
- Provide technical support to project teams and Project Managers throughout all project phases.
- Ensure designs comply with the BC Plumbing Code and other applicable standards.
- Produce high‑quality 3D models and drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Conduct on‑site mechanical investigations, audits, and reviews as required.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and field review documentation.
- Participate in client and project team meetings to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

- Diploma from a technical college in mechanical technology or a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 1+ years of relevant design experience in plumbing systems design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP with the ability to model complex plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of BC Plumbing Code and applicable standards.




- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a consulting environment.
- Solid organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

Compensation

- BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $57,500 – $76,200
- MB & ON: $52,500 – $72,300
- Atlantic Provinces & QC: $52,000 – $69,000
