Drive innovation as an Open Source Software Engineer. Focus on Linux and the open source stack, tackling challenges in Kubernetes and OpenStack remotely.

In this impactful role, you'll work on various Linux-based infrastructure and resolve critical issues affecting enterprise customers. As an integral member of the team, you will develop upstream bug fixes and maintain connections with product engineering and support staff. Your efforts will ensure the integrity of our software solutions.

Key Responsibilities: • Address complex customer challenges with Ubuntu software • Maintain strong ties with engineering and support units • Engage with upstream open source communities • Create and backport relevant fix patches • Participate in reviews of engineering code

Requirements: • Exceptional academic credentials in relevant fields • Background with Linux and open source software • Proficiency in Python, Go, C, or C++ on Linux • Capacity to travel for internal events up to 4 times a year • Driven to learn recent technologies and solve problems
