Saturn has an opportunity for a full‑time
Joint Venture Analyst
based in the
Calgary, Alberta
office. Reporting to the Manager, Joint Ventures, the Joint Venture Analyst will be responsible for full‑cycle joint venture activities, from administration to reporting, for a specific geographic area.
Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and analyze Unit and Unit Operating Agreements, CO&O;’s, and Joint Venture service agreements within a specific geographic area.
Prepare updates and revisions to Joint Venture Agreements as required.
Maintain accuracy of Joint Venture files and data in the CS Land Database, AFE – Execute and other systems.
Work in partnership with the accounting department to monitor fees, investigate and reconcile billing queries and effectively administer agreement terms.
Address internal and external queries and communicate agreement changes to stakeholders.
Advise Business Units on all joint venture issues.
Review, facilitate, and administer operated and non‑operated mail ballots and associated AFEs for accuracy.
Participate in Operating Committee Meetings and negotiations with partners, third parties and business units (Operated & Non-Operated).
Utilize JP05 formula for service fee calculations.
Assist with Operated Operating Forecasts process and review Non‑Operated Operating Forecasts.
Work closely with accounting groups (13th Month Adjustments, Audits).
Work closely with area engineers on area/business unit issues, including area reviews and A&D.;
Qualifications
Joint Venture Administration experience required, plus a minimum of ten years in a Joint Venture Analyst role.
A degree or technical diploma, or equivalent experience, is an asset.
A PJVA certificate would be an asset.
Knowledge of CS Land, geoScout, Prodview, Qbyte, Enerlink and Microsoft Office is an asset.
Highly organized, analytical, self‑directed, and able to prioritize multiple projects.
Essential to the role is a high level of professionalism, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail while maintaining a high‑level view of projects.
Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work within a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
