This leadership role in the CNC machining department involves overseeing a team of 8 specialists while managing day-to-day operations. You will set up and operate multiple CNC machines, mentor team members, and ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols. Additionally, you'll coordinate efforts in the absence of senior supervision to maintain productivity.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead a team of machinists/operators effectively • Set up and run a variety of CNC machines • Train and mentor team members for quality assurance • Execute daily production and maintenance tasks • Troubleshoot machining issues as they arise
Requirements: • At least 10 years CNC Machinist experience • Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred • Certification as a Red Seal Journeyperson Machinist desired • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing practices • Must be authorized to work in Canada
