NorTec Electric is an electrical contractor servicing Saskatoon and Regina reaching the greater part of Saskatchewan as we continue to grow. We are looking to expand our operations and currently looking for a Purchaser to join our team. Working side by side with our Project Managers and Superintendents, you will lead material purchasing for our ongoing and future projects throughout the province.

Responsibilities

- Receiving purchase requisitions from Project Managers and field staff
- Sourcing and purchasing materials for various jobs at the lowest cost
- Ensuring materials are promptly delivered to sites
- Completing assigned purchase orders
- Coordinating returns with suppliers and staff
- Communicating information both verbally and written to staff and sub-trades
- Collaborating and communicating with others including staff and sub-trades
- Preparing material take-offs and pricing,



assisting with tasks as required
- Assisting with record keeping and managing shipments
- Participating in project scheduling and planning
- Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications and skills

- Experience purchasing and working in an administrative role
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to think critically and resolve conflicts that may arise between shared information with sub-trades
- Proven ability to work within a team and independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks meeting tight deadlines

Assets

- Experience in the Construction Industry
- Knowledge of industry practices and standards
