We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with a strong blend of functional expertise and technical/data capabilities . This role will play a key part in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, particularly in data-driven and fraud-related initiatives .

The ideal candidate will not only excel in requirements gathering but also be comfortable working with data platforms, SQL, and reviewing code/scripts to translate technical logic into clear business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements (HLRs, BRDs, FRDs, user stories)
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
- Work closely with data engineers and analysts to understand data pipelines, transformations, and workflows
- Review and interpret Python / Spark / SQL scripts to extract and document business logic
- Support data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks
- Create and maintain source-to-target mappings and data documentation
- Participate in UAT, SIT , and defect management processes
- Facilitate communication between business, data, and engineering teams




- Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization
- Ensure solutions align with business objectives and technical feasibility

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst / Business Analyst
- Strong experience in:
- Requirements gathering (HLR, BRD, FRD)
- User stories and Agile methodologies
- Hands‑on experience with SQL (queries, joins, data validation)
- Experience working on data‑focused projects (ETL, data pipelines, data warehousing, analytics)
- Ability to understand and interpret technical logic/code
- Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills

- Experience with:
- Databricks
- Python
- Spark / PySpark
- Exposure to fraud analytics or risk systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Experience working with large datasets / big data environments
- Knowledge of data modeling and data architecture concepts
