Leverage your mechanical engineering skills in Fire Protection Systems design and project management. Work collaboratively with clients while ensuring compliance with Canadian Fire and Building Codes.
This role requires engaging with stakeholders to provide expert engineering services, including project management for system installations and site assessments. You will apply your knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and ULC/NFPA standards to guide internal and external clients through compliance matters. Your responsibilities will span designing systems, assessing existing installations, and conducting site visits to gather data.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and manage compliance with fire protection systems • Coordinate installations with contractors and teams • Provide hydraulic calculations and project specifications • Conduct site assessments and attend project meetings • Advise clients on applicable codes and standards
Requirements: • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, P. Eng. required • 5–15 years in Fire Protection Systems engineering • Proficient in HydraCAD and technical standards • Experience with large-scale projects preferred • Solid communication and project management skills
