This position entails advising on key commercial transactions and corporate governance activities. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, your responsibilities include fostering compliance and developing effective risk management strategies. You will also coordinate with external counsel to address any legal disputes that arise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on negotiation and drafting of contracts • Ensure compliance with regulatory laws and risk management • Liaise with external counsel on litigation issues • Support governance efforts with leadership and the Board • Identify and strategize to mitigate organizational legal risks
Requirements: • LL.B. or J.D. from a recognized institution • Good standing member of the Law Society of Ontario • 5+ years legal experience in corporate or commercial law • Strong communication and analytical skills • Excellent judgment in legal decision-making
