The Specification and Quality Systems Specialist will support the Technical and Quality teams by managing product specifications, customer technical documentation, and quality system data within Hilton Foods Canada's ERP platforms. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate product and supplier information within systems such as Evolve, Foods Connected, and Hive, while ensuring all finished product specifications, artwork, and labelling comply with current Canadian food safety and labelling legislation

The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with Commercial, Production, PD, and Quality teams to support product development, regulatory compliance, and customer requirements from concept through to launch and ongoing product lifecycle management.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Specification & Documentation Management

- Create, review, maintain, and update finished product specifications in accordance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.
- Develop customer specifications for current products and support the technical documentation process from concept through to product launch.
- Maintain and update internal product specifications to ensure accuracy and alignment with production processes.
- Complete and manage customer technical questionnaires and documentation related to raw materials and finished products.
- Act as the primary contact for specification-related queries within the organization.
- Act as primary contact for complaint investigation.

ERP & Quality Systems Management

- Maintain and manage product, supplier, and technical data within company ERP and specification systems including Evolve, Foods Connected, and Hive.




- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all technical systems and databases.
- Support system updates, document control, and ongoing maintenance of specification platforms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure technical documentation is properly captured and maintained within company systems.

Labelling & Artwork Compliance

- Review and approve product artwork to ensure compliance with Canadian food labelling regulations and customer requirements.
- Verify accuracy of nutritional information, ingredient declarations, allergen statements, and other mandatory labelling elements.
- Ensure all packaging and labelling meet current food safety and regulatory standards.
- Support product launches and technical documentation requirements.
- Assist with technical documentation preparation for audits and customer requests.

KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

- Diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline.
- HACCP certification or working knowledge of HACCP principles.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a food manufacturing technical, specification, or quality systems role.
