The Opportunity
The incumbent provides support to the Plant in hourly and salaried recruitment, handling screening, interviewing, training, layoffs, recalls, job postings, and attendance based on company policies and guidelines in a consistent manner.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life
- Coordinates all aspects of recruiting including applicant selection, interview, reference checking, and job offers.
- Develops advertising strategies and coordinates job fairs for hourly recruiting.
- Leads the orientation process for new employees including setup of personal record files, form completion, and distribution to payroll, benefit carriers, and union office.
- Develops and coordinates job postings and the job posting system in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Leads and develops hourly training.
- Promotes positive employee relations and goodwill.
- Sources and recruits summer students for peaks in vacation period.
- Coordinates locker use and performs periodic inspections in accordance with HACCP and collective agreement provisions.
What You’ll Bring
- Working towards or completion of a post‑secondary education program, diploma, or degree in Human Resources management.
- Excellent computer skills, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with a passion for accuracy.
- Strong team player with problem‑solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Ability to get things done within a decentralized environment with minimal supervision.
- Positive and professional approach with willingness to learn and enjoy challenging oneself.
