Job Title: Developer - SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Duration: 24+ Months (Possible Extension) Pay Rate: CAD 65-75/Hour + HST Role Summary The Senior Data Integration / ETL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying data migration and integration solutions. The role requires strong experience in SSIS, advanced SQL development, and the ability to work effectively in rapid‑paced, multi‑vendor, team‑focused environments while adhering to established development methodologies and processes.

Data Integration & ETL Development

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain

SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages

to support data migration and integration initiatives.

Perform

Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL)

activities for complex data migration projects across systems.

Analyze source systems and target schemas to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and performance during migrations.

Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing SSIS packages to improve performance and reliability.

SQL & Database Development

Develop and maintain

complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and scripts

to support reporting and data integration needs.

Optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability within large datasets.

Support data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities during and after migrations.

SDLC & Methodologies

Actively participate in projects using a variety of

development methodologies , including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

Contribute to sprint planning, design reviews, testing phases, and deployment cycles as required.

Ensure deliverables meet functional requirements, technical standards, and project timelines.

Work effectively in a

fast‑paced, team‑focused setting , collaborating with developers, analysts, testers, vendors, and stakeholders.

Participate in





multi‑vendor team environments , coordinating dependencies and resolving integration issues across teams.

Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Process Adherence & Continuous Improvement

Understand, follow, and actively support

existing team processes, standards, and governance frameworks .

Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing enhancements in data integration practices.

Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with organizational standards.

Communication & Time Management

Demonstrate

strong verbal and written communication skills in English , including documentation and status reporting.

Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision.

Provide regular progress updates and proactively elevate risks or issues.

Mandatory Qualifications

University degree in

Computer Science, Information Technology , or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum

7 years of IM/IT experience , with hands‑on involvement in data migration projects.

Proven experience with

ETL and data migration initiatives .

Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).

Ability to present experience clearly within a

concise resume (maximum 5 pages) , focusing on relevant projects and deliverables.

Experience & Skills (Scored Requirements)

5+ years

of experience designing, developing, testing,



and deploying

SSIS packages .

5+ years

of experience with

SQL , including complex query design and performance tuning.

5+ years

of experience working with

Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies .

5+ years

of experience working in fast‑paced environments with strong time‑management and prioritization skills.

5+ years

of experience adhering to and driving team processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

5+ years

of experience working within

multi‑vendor teams

(considered an asset).
