Within the Public Service Delivery Department, the Asset Management division is looking to fill a Facility Manager position. Responsibilities
Reporting to the District Property Manager, the Facility Manager is responsible for managing the operations and maintenance of a highly visible and sensitive portfolio which encompasses a number of self contained facilities often operating under extended hours. This is the highest and most substantial level within the Facility Manager Series, having significant responsibility for staff, budget and facilities with technical and non-technical complexities arising from the nature of client programs.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Post secondary certificate or diploma or Trade Certificate in a facility operation and maintenance field and/or Power Engineer certificate. An equivalent combination of education,
training and experience may be considered.
- Experience with facility management in a tenant services setting, including building operations and maintenance.
- Experience with HVAC operations and maintenance.
- Experience with building automation, life safety and security systems.
- Supervisory experience, including leadership and coaching skills.
- Experience preparing and managing budgets and cash flows.
- Knowledge of policies and regulations such as the Workplace Safety & Health Act, National Fire Code, and Manitoba Building Code.
- Experience in Human Resource Management, Decision making skills and client relations.
- Excellent Interpersonal skills and the ability to work with high profile stakeholders by utilizing political acumen.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise documents.
- Experience working with the programs of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Desired:
- Experience using SAP (or comparable software) for Plant Maintenance and Materials Management.
Conditions of Employment
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
- Must provide and maintain a Satisfactory Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Must successfully complete an enhanced internal security screening.
- Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers Licence without restriction and be capable of travel within the District.
- Must be physically capable of performing the required activities of the position including wearing personal protective equipment, working at heights and confined spaces.
