The Opportunity
We’re partnering with a growing Downtown Toronto law firm to hire a Civil Litigation Lawyer to step into a busy, active practice with an immediate file load. This is a role for someone who wants real ownership, strong compensation, and momentum. The work is there — the expectation is straightforward: move files forward, take control, and drive outcomes. If you’re frustrated by slow-moving environments or lack of autonomy, this is the opposite.
What You’ll Be Doing
File Ownership & Litigation
- Manage a high-volume civil litigation caseload independently
- Handle matters across Small Claims Court and Superior Court
- Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, and settlement materials
- Conduct discoveries and attend motions, conferences, and hearings
- Identify next steps early and keep files advancing without delay
Client Management
- Act as the primary client contact on your files
- Provide clear, practical legal advice
- Manage expectations and maintain momentum on all matters
Execution & Practice Discipline
- Maintain strong organization, docketing,
and follow-up
- Ensure timelines, deadlines, and deliverables are consistently met
- Contribute to a fast-moving, execution-focused practice
Who This Is For
- You’re self-directed and accountable

Requirements
- 3–5 years civil litigation experience (Ontario)
- Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Experience with Small Claims and Superior Court matters
- Proven ability to run files independently
