Director, Wealth Sales Enablement

As a Director, Wealth Sales Enablement, you will be accountable for driving Wealth growth through the design, build, and execution of scalable advice channels and strategic initiatives. This role owns the end‑to‑end success of Meridian’s Wealth Advice Centre (WAC), a virtual advice channel focused on growing Assets Under Administration (AUA) through financial planning for our mass market and mass affluent members. You will also lead enterprise initiatives that enhance advisor productivity, distribution effectiveness, and member experience. As a member of the Wealth Leadership Team, you partner closely with Regional Sales Leaders, Retail Distribution, Transformation, Operations, Marketing, Technology, and external partners to deliver sustainable growth, ensure regulatory alignment, and evolve Meridian’s Wealth distribution model for the future. Responsibilities

Wealth Strategy & Distribution Enablement

Act as the Wealth subject‑matter expert on enterprise initiatives that enhance wealth distribution, advisor effectiveness, and member experience. Partner with Transformation Team and senior leaders to identify, assess, and launch new growth opportunities, including channel strategy reviews and distribution model evolution. Develop and execute Wealth channel strategies for mass‑market & mass‑affluent member segments, including:

Evolution of the Licensed FSA role Coaching and enablement models A long‑term hybrid and virtual advice strategy

Lead distribution‑focused initiatives such as advisor compensation reviews, book optimization programs, evolution of our investment planning consultant operating model, private wealth offering assessments, and segmented service standards. Monitor regulatory, dealer, and industry developments and translate impacts into clear strategic priorities. Provide strategic input into Wealth’s annual operating plan and multi‑year initiative roadmap. Wealth Advice Centre (WAC) – Channel Ownership & Growth

Own the strategy, build‑out, and performance of the Wealth Advice Centre (WAC), comprised of Virtual Financial Planners and Investment Specialists. Accountable for WAC growth outcomes, including AUA growth, sales results, productivity, and overall channel performance. Establish annual sales targets, performance scorecards, and operating priorities for the virtual team. Design and implement operating models, workflows, and technology enablement that maximise virtual advisor productivity and scalability. Develop and source new referral and lead‑generation opportunities to fuel sustained WAC growth.



Build a high‑performing, engaged virtual advice culture aligned to Meridian’s values and growth ambition. Wealth Product & Practice Management

Provide strategic oversight for all Financial Planner best practices, onboarding, and development pathways, in partnership with Sales Effectiveness and regional leaders. Serve as the primary liaison with Meridian’s investment dealer (Aviso) and other external partners to coordinate practice management programs and learning initiatives. Enable advisor capability through high‑impact training and coaching, including group and 1‑on‑1 delivery models. Support advisor adoption of goal‑based financial planning, with strong emphasis on discovery, plan creation, and fulfillment using Conquest (or equivalent). Champion adoption of advisor technology platforms (e.g., CRM, Conquest Financial Planning, AdvisorStream, Capintel, etc.) by providing training, best practices, and ongoing support. Own and govern key Wealth policies, including product, fee, and financial planning standards. Contribute to enterprise Wealth communications, including internal channels, Town Halls, and leadership updates. Leadership & Enterprise Impact

Lead and develop a senior team of managers and indirectly lead virtual and hybrid advisors. Set clear expectations, priorities, and performance objectives aligned to Wealth strategy. Coach, mentor, and develop leaders to build a strong succession pipeline and high‑performance culture. Act as a trusted leader on the Wealth Leadership Team, contributing to Meridian’s broader growth, transformation, and long‑term strategy. Qualifications

12+ years of progressive experience in Wealth Management, including advisory, sales leadership, and practice management. 5+ years of senior leadership experience, leading advisors and managers in complex environments. University degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or related discipline. Wealth or financial planning accreditations considered an asset. Proven experience building and scaling sales or advice channels, including virtual or distributed teams and developing leaders.



Strong strategic capability with demonstrated success delivering enterprise‑level initiatives and change portfolios. Deep knowledge of Wealth products, fee structures, planning standards, and regulatory expectations. Expertise in practice optimization, sales processes, financial planning workflows, and advisor technology platforms (e.g., CRM, Conquest Financial Planning, AdvisorStream, Capintel). Comfort learning and adopting new digital tools, with an openness to using AI‑enabled technology to enhance productivity, accuracy, and the Member experience. Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into clear, compelling executive insights. Exceptional communication skills with confidence engaging senior leaders and influencing outcomes. Salary Range: CAD $123,400 - $150,000. Compensation for this role is based on a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. Candidates with stronger alignment to the role’s requirements may be placed higher within the range.
