Position Description This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.
We are seeking a Quality Engineering Lead with deep experience in enterprise testing environments. This role is ideal for someone who brings solid technical testing expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with clients and cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality delivery of complex solutions.
You will play a key role in validating branch and device‑based solutions, identifying risks early, and supporting successful delivery in Agile environments.
Responsibilities
Lead and execute end to end testing activities across complex enterprise applications
Perform and support device and peripheral testing, ensuring seamless integration and reliable functionality
Work collaboratively within an Agile pod, contributing to sprint planning, execution, and delivery
Provide clear and timely test status reporting, including progress updates, risks, and dependencies
Proactively identify, assess, and flag risks, proposing mitigation strategies where appropriate
Build a deep functional understanding of Branch Management solutions and related systems
Partner closely with clients and stakeholders, communicating test outcomes, issues, and recommendations effectively
Support defect management activities, including logging, tracking, retesting, and closure validation
Ensure testing aligns with defined quality standards, processes,
and best practices
Mentor or guide junior team members as needed, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture
Required Qualifications
10–15 years of experience in software testing or quality engineering, preferably in enterprise environments
Strong understanding of device testing, including hardware software interaction
Proven experience with peripheral testing (e.g., scanners, printers, POS devices, or similar hardware)
Hands on experience working within Agile delivery models
Excellent skills in status reporting, risk identification, and stakeholder communication
Strong client management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new functional domains and business solutions
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
