The Store Manager has a key role at Dollarama, managing and overseeing the store operation which includes day-to-day operations, merchandising activities, recruitment and training of new employees, scheduling and inventory management. The Store Manager also ensures that the standards of the store are in line with company guidelines and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day store operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the location
- Oversee merchandising activities to maintain product displays and presentation in line with company standards
- Recruit and train new employees
- Create and manage staff schedules based on store operational needs
- Monitor and manage inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels
- Ensure company guidelines and best practices are consistently upheld
- Lead and develop the store team
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2)
years' experience in the retail industry
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a team management position
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Ability to efficiently organize time and manage priorities
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Available to work 40–50 hours weekly, including days, evenings and weekends
- Flexibility to travel within the assigned region
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Comfortable with ladders, up and down movements, and heavy lifting
Minimum 2 years of retail industry experience; minimum 1 year in a team management position; strong leadership and communication skills; ability to manage priorities and work in a rapid-paced environment.
