Position: Platform Engineer (AKS)

Location: Toronto Ontario

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and operate Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters to support enterprise-scale applications.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Integrate AKS deployments into modern CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Develop automated processes for cluster provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management.
- Monitor AKS cluster health, performance, and cost usage using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Prometheus/Grafana.
- Implement best practices for Kubernetes networking, ingress, service mesh, and DNS configuration.
- Ensure strong security posture through RBAC, Azure AD integration, network policies, and secrets management.
- Manage and optimize container registries, images, and build pipelines using Azure Container Registry (ACR).
- Troubleshoot complex platform and application issues across containers, nodes, and Azure infrastructure.
- Enforce compliance with enterprise standards, governance, and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications and support microservices architectures.




- Optimize AKS performance, autoscaling (HPA/Cluster Autoscaler), and resource allocation for cost efficiency.
- Prepare architectural documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for platform operations.
