We are currently seeking a Quality Control Coordinator who will play an active role in ensuring product compliance, supporting plant operations, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes. Working closely with the Quality Control Director, you will be supported on a daily basis by an experienced manager, with a strong focus on knowledge transfer and succession planning, while contributing to maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct sampling of raw materials and finished products for microbiological analysis.
- Inspect products according to established quality standards.
- Verify labelling compliance during production and packaging.
- Perform weight checks in accordance with regulatory methods.
- Carry out batch validations in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) during production.
- Participate in facility inspections and follow up on required corrective actions.
Contribute to continuous improvement
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Conduct or coordinate supplier audits.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and quality programs.
- Contribute to research and development initiatives and the development of new products.
Ensure the management and follow-up of quality programs
- Prepare corrective action reports and ensure proper follow-up.
- Contribute to updating quality programs (HACCP, SQF).
- Compile and analyze sanitation and quality performance indicators.
- Ensure the calibration of certain equipment and monitor the inventory of chemical products.
- Perform various administrative tasks related to quality control.
Training and awareness
- Promote awareness among employees regarding hygiene and sanitation best practices.
- Deliver internal training on OHS, GMP, and HACCP.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology, College Diploma (DEC) in Food Processing and Quality Technology, Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, or any other relevant field of study.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control within the agri-food industry
- Good knowledge of HACCP standards and applicable regulations
- Solid attention to detail, organizational skills, and rigor
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Knowledge of English (an asset)
