Supply Chain Associate
Location: Belleville, Ontario
Department: Supply Chain
Reports To: Supply Chain Manager
About the Role
Soltex is seeking a Supply Chain Associate to support our growing operations in Belleville, Ontario. This role plays an important part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and information across the supply chain. The Supply Chain Associate will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager, Logistics & Inventory Coordinator, Supply Chain Specialist, and Customer Service Representative to support order management, purchasing activities, inventory tracking, and shipment coordination.
This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, with a solid interest in supply chain operations and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with order entry, order tracking, and order status updates in coordination with the Customer Service Representative
- Communicate shipment details, lead times, and product availability to internal teams
- Support resolution of customer inquiries related to deliveries, backorders, and product information
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics partners to help ensure timely order fulfillment
- Assist with monthly inventory reconciliation and updates
- Prepare purchase requisitions and support the issuance of purchase orders
- Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers regarding delivery confirmations, timelines, and discrepancies
- Assist with arranging transportation and shipments for incoming and outgoing products
- Support vendor communications by gathering quotes, documentation, and product specifications
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support supply chain operations
Qualifications
- College diploma or equivalent work experience in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests
- Team-oriented with a customer service mindset
- Reliable, adaptable, and eager to learn
- Proficiency with computer systems, word processing, and spreadsheet programs (Excel or similar)
Key Performance Indicators
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Order accuracy and on-time order processing
- Timely response to internal and customer inquiries
- Purchase order accuracy and supplier follow-up timeliness
- Accuracy of inbound shipment tracking
- Support provided to customer service, purchasing, and inventory functions
Work Environment
- Office-based role located in Belleville, Ontario
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while working on a computer
