THE PROSPECT We’re looking for a Financial Controller to play a critical role in shaping our Company's strategic direction and financial health. This role is responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, including financial planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial data analysis. This role will report to the President and Chief Financial Officer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with short-term and long-term business objectives.
Drive financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
Assess and manage financial risks, proposing strategies to mitigate them effectively.
Support the preparation of financial reports, statements and analysis.
Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and financial laws.
Manage all financial reporting and audit aspects of Government grants.
Support management of the company’s capital structure and ensure optimal allocation of resources.
Oversee financial due diligence and process management.
Establish and maintain robust internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Supervise financial operations, including accounting, tax and audit functions.
Act as a liaison between the company, financial institutions, auditors, and other stakeholders.
Communicate financial performance, strategies and risks effectively to stakeholders.
Lead and manage the internal financial team.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Proven experience as Director, Finance or in a Senior Financial Management role.
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA or CFA certification preferred.
Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis and financial reporting.
Excellent leadership and management skills to lead and develop the finance team.
Strategic thinking with the ability to contribute to the overall business strategy.
