Job Summary Responsible for assisting the General Manager with the overall operation of the assigned market. Ensure technicians have the support and resources necessary to complete their work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and industry standards. This position plays an active role in driving market growth by identifying, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with third-party customers. The Assistant General Manager will work to capture new business opportunities, strengthen partnerships with existing clients, and support the General Manager in ensuring operational excellence that drives customer satisfaction, retention, and expansion.
Role And Responsibilities Responsibilities include risk management, teammate development, client relationship management, production oversight, and administrative support while maintaining company goals and standards for performance with an emphasis on market growth and delivering a world-class customer experience.
Leadership & Team Development
Demonstrate a strong ability to lead, develop, and inspire teammates to achieve operational and business success.
Manage and support field resources within the designated market.
Ensure all teammates receive the required training, certifications, and ongoing development necessary to perform their roles successfully.
Assist the General Manager with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and mentoring field teammates.
Provide feedback on teammate performance and support development partnership with the GM
Market Growth & Customer Development
Actively support growth initiatives. Strong focus on third-party customer acquisition and retention.
Identify opportunities to add current third-party customers within the assigned market including body shops, dealerships, and other strategic partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction, retention, and service expansion opportunities.
Support customer engagement through communication, site visits, and relationship management.
Partner with GM to identify opportunities to increase service utilization with current customers.
Assist resolving customer concerns /challenges to maintain robust relationships and protect long-term partnerships.
Operations & Production
Assist the General Manager in monitoring sales performance, workflow, and overall production to ensure operational efficiency.
Perform quality control reviews for field operations and file reviews to ensure estimate accuracy
Support operational alignment to ensure service meets company and customer expectations.
Financial & Administrative Support
Develop an understanding of budgets and operational metrics to support financial goals.
Assist in monitoring operational performance and identify improvement in efficiency & productivity.
Customer Experience & Industry Excellence
Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and engagement.
Display company core values in all interactions with teammates, customers, clients, and vendors.
Overall support in areas where the market GM requires assistance as needed.
Qualifications, Education & Experience
2+ Years in automotive mobile repair industry preferred
Experience in auto repair industry or managing a mobile work force
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR/Background check
Understanding /knowledge of repair process, procedures, and service info.
Capable of effectively prioritizing and multitasking over a large geography.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to delegate when required.
Personable and friendly demeanor with a world class customer service approach to internal and external customers
Maintains a well-groomed and professional appearance
Requirements
Must be able to lift 60 pounds independently
Travel may be required for continuing education and certification training
Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping
Requires frequent driving of company and customer vehicles
May have exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals
Ability to work in a shop environment in inclement weather
