Camp Easter Seal and Food Services Supervisor-Head Cook

Camp Easter Seal is a summer camp program for children, youth and adults experiencing disability. The Food Services Supervisor-Head Cook is responsible to lead the overall food-service operation of the camp.

Responsibilities

- Be responsible for the productive and safe functioning of complete food service operations
- In collaboration with the kitchen team provide nutritious and well-balanced meals and snacks for campers and staff
- Keeping within budget, plan the menus; order food and supplies
- Monitor the effectiveness of the food quality, temperature, timeliness and service standards
- Assign responsibilities and manage kitchen staff




- Promote and maintain a high standard of cleanliness

Education, Qualifications and Experience

- Must be a graduate of, or currently well advanced in, a food service or culinary arts program; or have significant past experience providing leadership and food service for large groups
- Current Food Handler Certificate, WMHIS 2015, and a valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Must have experience in food preparation, ordering of food and planning of menus, including knowledge of special diets
- Must have supervisory experience
- Ability to work within a budget, manage inventory and purchase supplies
- Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple demands under pressure
- Must be able to work in a busy environment and manage lifting, pushing, standing, and carrying objects

Final Candidates are required to provide satisfactory criminal record checks.

Camp Easter Seal is located at Manitou Beach, SK; Transportation to and from site is personal responsibility. Room and board is included (scheduled weekdays only).
