Support health and safety projects this summer as a dedicated Student Assistant. Help implement safety practices and monitor compliance while enhancing your skills in a agile work environment.
In this role, you will be under the guidance of the Plant Manager, gaining hands-on experience in health and safety. You'll assist in administrative tasks, incident investigations, and contribute to the overall safety culture at the facility. The position offers the chance to work on significant projects while interacting with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective action development
• Perform Safety Walks and engage in safety observations
• Contribute to health and safety strategic meetings and audits




• Analyze statistical data to influence safety initiatives
• Support training delivery and handle administrative duties
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in a relevant Diploma/Degree program
• Familiarity with OHSA and safety regulations
• Strong skills in MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Effective leadership and interpersonal communication
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask
