Formation:
Required Quality Inspector Job Functions:
- Oversee and coordinate with internal and external inspection and project requirements
- Able to read and understand drawings and specifications
- Able to measure, examine, compare products using necessary inspection devices (micrometers, calipers, go/no go plug, rings gages, comparator, etc.)
- Manage calibration of controlled measuring and test equipment
Additional Quality Inspector Job Functions:
- Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing shipments
- Read part drawings and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services
- Measure in-process and finished product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications
- Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records (NCR)
- Inform and follow up with production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence
- Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner
- Ensure all required quality documentation related to tasks is complete
- Perform all tasks in accordance with the company’s QA procedures and training program
- Perform any inspection requirements as directed by the company QA program
- Transmit process information to relevant departments in a timely manner
- Maintain a safe & clean workplace
- Perform other duties as directed by the Quality Manager
- Around 3 years experience in the manufacturing sector
- Problem-solving abilities
- Able to work alone and as part of a team
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
- DCS in machining technique or metrology course (an asset)
