Seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Sustainable Materials. Drive innovative teaching and research on low-carbon and circular materials with potential for impactful sustainability solutions.
This probationary appointment focuses on mechanical and materials engineering, emphasizing experimental methods and interdisciplinary collaborations. Applicants should exhibit excellence in research as evidenced by substantial scholarly output and the ability to secure funding. Effective teaching in both undergraduate and graduate settings is essential, along with active participation in departmental and faculty duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach diverse undergraduate and graduate mechanical engineering courses
• Supervise and mentor graduate students in research




• Engage in administrative and departmental activities
• Foster collaborations across engineering disciplines
• Contribute to partnerships with sustainability-focused institutes
Requirements:
• PhD in Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering
• Proven research excellence with peer-reviewed publications
• Effective university-level teaching experience
• Eligibility for Professional Engineer registration in Ontario
• Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
