Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced People and Culture Specialist to support our operations team through a full range of HR functions. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality HR services, fostering employee engagement, and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Full-cycle recruitment
Coordinate onboarding and training
Provide high-quality HR advice and service to the operations team on a regular basis with respect to employee relations and performance management issues
Provide expertise in high-volume recruitment, data analysis, employee relations, employee engagement, and health & safety
Generate reports as needed
Continuously review and improve processes
Share HR best practices with colleagues and mentor to bolster succession planning
Work with local People and Culture team and other key business functions to support operations and advance the P&C; mandate
As part of overarching retention and succession planning, provide guidance to employees regarding career development within the company through the Career Coach or site visits
Coordinate and plan employee recognition events, including the Annual Christmas Party and the 4 Pillars of Giving
Perform other duties as requested to assist with branch needs
Serve as a representative of Paladin and assist with developing long-term partnerships with Indigenous groups and organizations
Qualifications
Proven ability to embrace change and adversity in a rapidly growing and changing environment
Diploma in Business Management or Human Resources is considered an asset
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources
Commitment to exceptional customer service and professionalism
Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Knowledge and understanding of Employment Standards Legislation and Human Rights Legislation
Conflict resolution experience is considered an important asset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
