Position Summary The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) will play a key role in strengthening the company’s financial operations by focusing

accounts receivable management, cash management, bank reconciliations, financial analysis, and audit‑ready documentation . The position supports both the

month‑end close process and financial planning activities , working closely with the Controller and operational leaders to ensure financial data remains accurate, well‑supported, and actionable for decision making. This role is well suited for a candidate who enjoys

hands‑on financial operations combined with analytical work , and who is interested in building strong technical accounting and operational finance expertise within a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Manage high‑volume accounts receivable activities, including monitoring customer balances, supporting collections follow‑ups, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate customer account records.

Perform cash application and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy of cash balances within Sage 300 and supporting timely close of the cash cycle.

Own end‑to‑end payroll accounting, including payroll processing oversight, statutory remittances (CRA, EHT, WSIB, etc.), reconciliations, and continuous optimization of payroll cost structure and controls, with structured training and transition support provided.

Prepare and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts and ensure supporting schedules remain organized and audit‑ready.

Conduct account analysis and transaction reviews to maintain the integrity of financial records and support the Controller in maintaining robust internal controls.

Support the month‑end close process through preparation of reconciliations, supporting schedules, and analytical reviews of financial results.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering operational inputs,



preparing supporting schedules, and contributing analytical insights.

Perform variance analysis and financial performance reviews, helping management understand key drivers of financial results.

Analyze operational financial data and provide clear insights to the Controller and divisional leadership to support informed decision making.

Prepare management and operational reports used by leadership teams to monitor business performance.

Participate in finance process improvements, system enhancements, and ad‑hoc financial analysis as the business continues to grow.

Support additional finance initiatives and responsibilities as identified by the Controller from time to time based on evolving business needs.

Qualifications

Post‑secondary education in Accounting or Finance and CPA designation is required.

3‑5 years of experience in technical accounting, elementary budget development experience.

Unparalleled sense of ownership and accountability.

Ability to think creatively and quickly with minimal direction and information.

Strong business and analytical skills; ability to multi‑task, stay organized and prioritize deadlines in a continually evolving environment.

Strong relationship building and communication skills, experience, and desire to work cross‑functionally and be a contributing team member.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and juggle competing priorities.

Fluent understanding of journal entries (debit/credit) and accounting rules.

Skills

Must possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information and monetary transactions.

Advanced knowledge/experience using Microsoft Excel.

Previous experience working with multiple legal entities is a preference.





Experience with Sage 300 is strong plus.

Demonstrated ability to build strong internal and external business relationships.

Clearly understands how to assess the importance of tasks and decisions and set priorities, focusing time/energy on the most significant issues/opportunities.

Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills required with demonstrated ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
