Position Summary The personal financial planning and management course deals with the organization of an individual's financial and personal data for the purpose of developing a strategic plan to constructively manage income, assets, and liabilities to meet near- and long-term goals and objectives.
The course covers, following a life-cycle approach, budgeting, savings and credit planning, taxation planning, risk management, investment planning, retirement planning, and estate planning.
Instruction is delivered through lectures and case studies.
Term and Schedule Spring 2026 (May 1 – August 31).
Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:00 PM – 2:20 PM, for a total of 3 hours per week (36 hours total).
Format: lecture (in person).
Anticipated class size: 90 students.
Qualifications
Master of Finance; or MBA with specialization in Finance; or MBA with academic or qualified experience in Finance.
CFP (Certified Financial Planner) required.
Salary $9 316.88
