We’re seeking an

AI Innovation Specialist – Consultant

(not a full‑time hire at this stage) to support

Empowerists

with our ongoing

AI enablement initiatives . This role will be

engaged on an as‑needed basis

and requires a strong blend of

hands‑on technical expertise, business acumen, and AI fluency .

The ideal candidate is

credible, curious, and action‑oriented

capable of quickly

prototyping, integrating, and evaluating

AI‑driven enhancements across a variety of business workflows.

Core Responsibilities

AI Tool Literacy : Use/configure tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, LLM sandboxes. Apply prompt engineering, workflow design, and automation concepts. Evaluate AI tools for business fit, usability, and security.

Prototyping & Experimentation : Build low‑fidelity prototypes with low/no‑code tools (Zapier, Make, Power Automate, Airtable). Develop proofs‑of‑concept and pilots without creating technical debt. Collaborate with developers for light integrations or scaling.

AI/ML Fundamentals : Solid understanding of generative AI (RAG, embeddings, vector databases). Exposure to traditional ML (classification, clustering, forecasting). Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, and OpenAI APIs.

Systems Integration : Work with APIs (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, GraphQL) to enable secure, scalable connections. Integrate AI solutions into enterprise SaaS ecosystems without creating technical debt. Collaborate with IT for governance, compliance, and scalability.

Measurement & Reporting : Define and track success metrics, adoption, and outcomes. Present findings clearly to stakeholders.

Strong communicator — able to explain AI concepts to non‑technical audiences.

Problem‑oriented — solves real business pain points, not “AI for AI’s sake.”

Agile thinker — works in short propose‑test‑learn cycles.

Team-oriented — bridges between business teams, IT, and leadership.

Qualifications

2–3 years’ experience in business analysis, process improvement, digital transformation, or innovation.

Exposure to automation workflows and AI‑enabled tools.

Strong familiarity with SaaS ecosystems across CRM, collaboration, HR, and ERP domains. (Some experience with Salesforce, Microsoft DevOps, and 365 desirable.)

Minimum scripting capabilities and Python knowledge.

Comfort with low/no-code prototyping and developer collaboration.

Awareness of compliance, security, and governance considerations in AI deployment.
