The Opportunity This is a General Manager role with full accountability for the performance, growth, and leadership of the Service & Projects Division. Reporting directly to the President, you will operate as the leader of this business unit, responsible for driving revenue, building the team, strengthening client relationships, and creating the systems required to scale. This role is ideal for someone who wants to run a business within a business and is motivated by building something meaningful.

What You Own

Full division P&L; and financial performance

Revenue growth and client development strategy

Team structure, leadership, and succession planning

Operational systems and execution standards

Preconstruction approach and project strategy

Growth Mandate

Grow division revenue through strong client relationships and repeat work





Position Leading Edge as the preferred electrical partner in our market

Build internal capacity through hiring, development, and leadership

Implement scalable systems that support sustainable growth

Reduce reliance on the President for day-to-day operations

What Success Looks Like

Consistent year-over-year revenue and profit growth

Solid, predictable gross margins across service and projects

High client retention and referral rates

A capable leadership team operating independently

Clear systems, accountability, and performance visibility

A division that runs smoothly without constant oversight

Core Responsibilities

Business Leadership & P&L; Ownership

Own revenue, margin, and overall financial performance

Set annual targets and drive execution against them

Build and manage performance dashboards and KPIs

Ensure financial discipline across projects and service work

Team Leadership & Development

Build, lead, and develop Project Managers, Estimators, and Coordinators

Establish clear roles, expectations, and accountability

Implement structured onboarding, training, and development plans

Develop future leaders within the division

Client Relationships & Growth

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners

Identify opportunities within existing accounts

Lead strategic conversations and long-term client planning

Ensure a consistently high level of service delivery

Preconstruction & Project Execution

Oversee project lifecycle from opportunity to close-out





Ensure accuracy in estimating, pricing, and scope

Maintain visibility on pipeline and labour forecasting

Ensure strong project controls, documentation, and execution

Systems & Operational Excellence

Build repeatable processes that support scaling

Improve reporting, forecasting, and operational visibility

Align field and office teams for smoother execution

Continuously improve workflows and reduce friction

Required Experience

15+ years in commercial electrical construction

Strong background in service work and tenant improvements

Experience leading teams and developing people

Proven ability to manage or influence financial performance

Deep understanding of project delivery and preconstruction

Ideal Candidate Profile

Compensation Total Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000+ CAD Performance-based incentives tied to division growth and profitability
