This position focuses on providing strategic counsel regarding academic labour relations and managing relationships with various bargaining units. Your insights will enhance the organization’s approach to collective agreements and support the implementation of initiatives that promote a positive labour relations climate. You’ll collaborate with academic leaders while ensuring the development of policies that resonate with the goals of faculty departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Negotiate and interpret collective agreements
• Prepare documentation for arbitration and grievances
• Collaborate with outside organizations as needed
• Support academic leaders in applying agreements
• Promote equity through labour relations policies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related area
• Law or Master’s in relevant field preferred
• 7 years of labour relations experience required
• 5 years in leadership roles necessary
• Extensive experience in collective bargaining essential
