Maintains the hardware and software of the enterprise LAN and WAN and monitoring systems. Executes network changes and provides tier 2 and tier 3 support for users for network incidents to ensure availability and reliability of the network and business continuity. Maintains and updates documentation to ensure ease of retrieval of historical information and that all information is current. Acts as a subject matter expert for moderately complex to complex projects.
This is a hybrid role with requirements to be on site 3 days a week, providing a balance between remote flexibility and in-person collaboration.
About The Role
Resolve issues and challenges related to network incidents, including hardware and software of the enterprise LAN and WAN to ensure issues are resolved in accordance with incident management processes and guidelines. Assist other team members in the resolution of network incidents by providing expertise and guidance as required. Perform complex enterprise-wide changes and maintain documentation as required.
Review and resolve network incidents reported by users, and those reported by monitoring systems, follow up and update incident records as required.
Communicate updates for incidents to help desk.
Install and upgrade network hardware and software.
Reviews security and end of life notifications for network equipment.
Review current utilization to ensure network connections and equipment have enough capacity.
Support junior team members during complex incidents. Participate in all internal and external projects, including gathering requirements,
and act as a network subject matter expert to support business and technical requirements and ensure all projects are delivered on time.
Complete work based on established designs.
Attend meetings to collect requirements, provide updates.
Analyze and interpret customer needs.
Provide enhancements to existing services.
Provide guidance to project teams in area of expertise.
Address escalated technical issues and challenges for resolution.
Coach less experienced colleagues to help develop technical capability.
Execute and validate network changes as required, translating requirements into network configurations to support project activities executed by other project teams, and ensuring business, project and change management requirements are met. Validate changes by coordinating testing.

What You Need to Succeed Education
University degree in Computer Science or Engineering
CCNP or CCIE certification
Experience
8+ hands‑on experience in enterprise networking environments, supporting design, deployment, and ongoing operations
Cisco Leaf‑and‑Spine architecture and implementation experience in production network environments
Extensive experience with switches and routers (configuration, installation and troubleshooting to the component level).
Experience in the configuration and implementation of Cisco Firepower and Fortinet firewall solutions, including hands‑on use of their respective management tools to support deployment, administration, and ongoing operational needs
Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and supporting corporate and Internet network connectivity solutions, with robust hands‑on expertise in switching, routing, encryption, and wireless technologies across enterprise environments.
Proven experience working with web‑based services, including the deployment, configuration, and ongoing support of load‑balancing solutions such as F5 and Citrix NetScaler to ensure performance, availability, and scalability.
Demonstrated experience implementing, operating, and maintaining network monitoring and management products to support operational visibility, performance tracking, and issue resolution.
Experience with private and public cloud environments is desirable, with exposure to cloud‑based networking concepts and services, including Microsoft Azure.
Experience with scripting and automation for network configuration and monitoring is desirable, leveraging tools such as Python, Ansible, and similar technologies to improve efficiency and consistency.
Experience with Cisco wireless controller and AP is desirable
Skill requirements
Extensive knowledge of networking technology, both at architecture and technical levels as related to LAN and WAN environments
Strong knowledge of firewalls, 802.1x, VPN, IDS
Strong troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of network diagnostic tools for isolating and solving network problems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
