The opportunity As a Senior Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in delivering high‑impact, complex transformation engagements for EY clients. You will provide strategic, innovative business advice and contribute significantly to EY’s thought leadership, drawing on deep expertise in finance transformation and consulting. You will be accountable for the successful delivery, quality, and profitability of large‑scale engagements and multiple workstreams, while supporting the firm’s growth through strong client relationships and business development.
Your Role And Key Responsibilities
Lead complex, large‑scale Finance Transformation engagements, including end‑to‑end review of finance and accounting processes, operating models, and systems, and design of future‑state solutions.
Provide strategic direction and oversight across multiple engagements or workstreams, ensuring delivery excellence, value creation, and high‑quality outcomes for clients.
Own engagement financial performance, including budgeting, staffing strategy, margin management, and proactive risk management.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, supporting decision‑making and driving transformation agendas.
Lead and contribute to business development activities, including proposal development, client pitches, and expansion of existing accounts.
Build strong relationships across the Consulting practice and other EY service lines to deliver integrated, cross‑functional solutions.
Lead, coach, and mentor Managers and team members, supporting their professional growth through structured feedback, performance management, and career development.
Conduct performance reviews and contribute to promotion and talent decisions.
Play a key role in people initiatives, including recruitment, talent retention, workforce planning, and capability development within the Finance Transformation practice.
Drive training and knowledge‑sharing initiatives to ensure continuous enhancement of technical, leadership, and consulting skills.
Uphold and promote EY policies, values, and quality standards across all engagements.

To qualify for the role you must have
A bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record and typically 10+ years of experience in industry or within a recognized consulting firm.
Professional designation and/or advanced qualifications such as MBA, CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA are strong assets.
Proven experience delivering transformation projects across the full lifecycle, including assessment, design, and implementation.
Experience with emerging technologies and finance automation (e.g., RPA, digital finance solutions) is an asset.
Demonstrated experience leading teams across multiple concurrent projects.
Willingness and ability to travel as required.
Ideally, you’ll also have
Graduate level education or applicable professional designation.

Salary range (Toronto): $144,000 to $195,000.
